I followed [livejournal.com profile] dakiwiboid's advice to just keep waiting and reloading whenever it said it was too busy.  And, of course, being a sneaky bastard, I kept notes of where I'd been until I got to the first map scroll and knew where I was, then mapped the whole thing.

I escaped from the Dungeon of Unixronin!

I killed Darthgeek the leprechaun, Tabbifli the leprechaun, Dakiwiboid the rat, Wambold the goblin, Mrquacker the kobold, Voltron Rex the troll, Felinecanine the goblin, Bfudlmint the goblin, Skellington the zombie, Zeekar the nymph and Johnkzin the cockatrice.

I looted the Dagger of Bfly, a Figurine of Mrfy, the Axe of Ehintz, a Figurine of Drdemure, the Wand of Echristo, the Armour of Tchaikovsky, the Dagger of Maltconnoisseur, the Shield of Muscat Wines, the Wand of 7leaguebootdisk, the Sceptre of Sadlery, the Dagger of Genuine Snark, the Wand of Sadlery, the Axe of Spelunking, the Sceptre of Docwebster, the Armour of Janetmiles, the Wand of Pernishus, the Sceptre of Hawkwind, the Sceptre of Lccha, the Crown of Ilcylic, the Axe of Micheinnz, the Crown of Rbos, a Figurine of Databeast, the Sceptre of Lonewolf545 and 233 gold pieces.

Score: 658

Notes from my adventures:

  • Yeah, there IS only one healing pot in the entire damn place, and it's for a lousy 10HP.  OMGWTFBBQLDAP?
  • On the one hand, I really didn't need so many map scrolls.  On the other hand, the map scrolls are the only ones that actually do anything useful at all.
  • A Scroll of [livejournal.com profile] otherbill explodes for 10 fire damage when read.  Funny, he never struck me as being that hot-headed.
  • Nothing happened with [livejournal.com profile] ariyanakylstram.      ...No, the Scroll of [livejournal.com profile] ariyanakylstram.  Get your mind out of the gutter.
  • Dude.  The Wand of [livejournal.com profile] echristo is some serious shit.
  • So how come if I have multiple wands, I can't choose which one to zap a monster with, anyway?
  • I found [livejournal.com profile] bfudlmint in ... no.  No.  Forget I said anything.  I'm just NOT going there.

I looked on his desk and saw that he had a diagram of his dungeon drawn on graph paper.

If you find a temple to something or other, and pray multiple times, each time you're blessed, you get 10 hp. It's pretty random per dungeon. My dungeon has two temples.

Nice tasting potions give you 10 hp. Nasty ones take 5 or 10.

It's all very random, but what do you expect for an 8 x 6 dungeon, really? You got a good score :)

Huh. I found an Altar to Fair Witness, and prayed at it a bunch of times, and nothing ever happened.

It's random, actually. You can get blessed three times in a row, and then have nothing happen for 20 clicks. If you're patient and really hurting (or if you're trying to kill a dragon with a dagger... :P) sometimes sitting there for damn-near-ever until you get over 100 hp can be worth it. Otherwise, not so much. :)
