Per the one and only motomuffin, we convoyed off today to Carlisle, MA for the first [insert periodic measure here]
motorcycles East Coast ice cream meetup. The directions generated by Google Maps should have included a line reading "If you think you're lost, you're on the right track." Despite having the same map and directions and starting from the same point,
cymrullewes and I managed to arrive from opposite directions. Not a particularly long ride, but my foot behaved itself well enough, people were met and ice cream was consumed.
Going back out, we decided to try and follow the route I'd come in by instead of the other way, which would pave been pretty much a direct hop to 495. I failed to spot Brooks Road from the south end, though, and we ended up following Route 4 after some minor route confusion. Minor discomfort for a while when my hip decided to try to cramp, but it eased up. A pretty reasonable return trip too, except for the part where perspicuity (who took a different route) wadded his Nighthawk on the way home, but by the time we got back I was pretty well worn out and needed to lie down and rest for a while.
