I'm not anticipating using this a lot.  I've never really been bitten by the journaling meme.  However, I occasionally find I wish to comment on things Cymru points out to me.  So, we'll see how it goes.  It's entirely possible this page may not update for months at a time; then again, we may use it for some things that currently end up in Cymru's journal, like medical updates regarding my foot.  Time will tell.

No userpic, yet.  It may take me some time to decide what I want to use, if anything.

HMS Warspite

You are the HMS Warspite.  Probably the most successful warship of all time, Warspite survived some of the hardest fighting of two world wars; from Jutland to the Med, Warspite was there.  You are highly responsible, and a credit to the species.  When there is a job to be done, there you are, ready and willing to help.  Good for you, doing your duty, but try not to end up like the Warspite did, overworked and only half able to function.

What battleship are you?

So, I just installed LogJam (after first installing a couple of prerequisites like libgtk2 and libxml2).  It's a pretty nice little client, and with a little bit of external Perl scripting, it can autodetect what DigitalDJ is currently playing and tell my running Mozilla to spawn a new window and open my recent entries, friends page etc. in it.

Journalling in itself may not excite me, but give me the excuse to build some new toys and do a little Perl hacking, and stand back.
